Today I read an article in New York Times about U.N. Resolution to approve 26 000 peacekeeper for Darfur (western Sudan) to stop the violence. In Sudan more than 200 000 people were killed during of last 4 years.
As for me, the conflict of Darfur is a good example of disability of U.N. to prevent genocide or other manifestation of violence. It is obvious that renaming of League of Nations to United Nations was only a “cosmetic change”, but this organization is still the same.
I think you are right, this organisation is unuseful, they can’t prevent violence or somewhat else, it need restructuring, but some coutries seems to be not interested in that…
